Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is included in a litter picking kit?
Kits contain litter sticks, refuse sacks and health and safety guidance. The equipment can be collected from our Gipping House depot at Hadleigh Road Industrial Estate or delivered (Monday – Friday between 8am – 3pm), depending on availability. If required we will arrange a drop-off and pick-up time with you.
What Covid-Secure measures have you put in place?
All equipment is appropriately sanitised before and after each hire.
These dates don’t work for us, can we arrange a litter pick another time?
Yes, litter kits are available to borrow throughout the year. Enquire online about hiring a litter pick kit.
What do we do with the bags of litter after the litter pick?
The collected litter can be split between your black bin and recycling bin depending on the material collected. Glass can be taken to a local glass recycling bank. Alternatively, litter can be taken to the Household Recycling Centres on Portmans Walk, or Foxhall Road for disposal. At present, you can only take waste to a Suffolk Recycling Centre if you have booked a designated time slot. Read more about how to book a slot.
If these options are not possible, a collection can be arranged in advance from a secure location (Monday – Friday between 8am – 3pm)
