Make it Grow with DiGBY Competition FAQs

Who is this competition for?

The competition is open to individuals under the age of 18 as well as community groups, schools and organisations situated in the Borough of Ipswich.

General Guidelines:

  1. Entrants are invited to show in a creative way how winning the compost will be beneficial in helping them to achieve the goals of their project.
  2. Entries could be in the form of a poster, a video, a story, or a poem.
  3. There is a minimum requirement of one side of A4 or equivalent to show-case your idea.
  4. The aim is to promote composting and its benefits to the environment.
  5. Entries can be submitted by individuals under the age of 18.
  6. Groups entries can be submitted by people of any age who are part of a registered group or organisation,
  7. Each group or organisation can only submit one entry per quarter.
  8. Competition entrants should obtain the appropriate permissions and approval of all included in their video before sending in their entries.
  9. If creating a video, entrants are to ensure that all content used in the video is copyright free (including footage, music, images etc.)
  10. If creating a video, the copyright of each video will remain with the film-maker but Ipswich Borough Council will have the right in perpetuity to publish and/or broadcast the videos on the Ipswich Borough Council and Love Your Street websites and across social media channels.

Taking Part

Each entrant must email their entries to: LoveYourStreet@ipswich.gov.uk

Competition entrants should obtain the appropriate permissions and approval of all included in their video before sending in their entries.

What do you get?

  • Individuals under the age of 18 can win a bag of compost along with a DiGBY goody bag and the chance to meet DiGBY.
  • Groups including community groups, schools and organisations can win compost and a visit from DiGBY
