About the campaign

Love Your Street is a litter campaign that aims to encourage Ipswich residents and visitors to use litter bins and take pride in their local area.

Part of the campaign will involve educating people on the impact litter can have on our quality of life, the environment and the community.

Meet DiGBY

DiGBY, the blue octopus, became famous after appearing as a mural on the side of a silo on Ipswich Waterfront.

His tentacles represent the fact that it takes a lot of helping hands to tackle litter, including the many volunteers who work with us throughout year.

Help us keep Ipswich clean with DiGBY!

Get involved

Show how much you love your street by getting together with your neighbours, family or friends and organising a community litter-pick.

Unfortunately we are currently unable to hire out our litter picking kits but we can help by picking up the waste once you’re done (9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday).

Email LoveYourStreet@ipswich.gov.uk to arrange a waste pick up.

Keep in touch

We would love to hear what you are doing to keep Ipswich clean.

Share your stories on social media using the #LoveYourStreet and #DiGBYsays.
